Phonosphere is a collaborative spatial sound bath by Earth Echo Collective and Robot Koch, originally composed for Polygon Live London in May 2025. The work merges Earth Echo’s nature-based field recordings and bioacoustic textures with cinematic, emotionally rich electronic compositions from Robot Koch’s Allow album.
The piece unfolds as a continuously evolving sonic landscape inspired by a series of natural habitats, weaving together environmental recordings, atmospheric electronic textures, and featuring the voice of Peia.
For Polygon Portal, Phonosphere has been adapted as an intimate 360° spatial listening experience, allowing audiences to lie back and fully immerse themselves within the sound field. The Portal’s enveloping audio environment enhances the movement and resonance of the composition, inviting deep, embodied listening and gently dissolving the boundaries between body, mind, and sound.

Arrival Times / Doors
Please arrive 15 minutes before your session. Doors close at 10:15 and the experience begins promptly. Late entry is not permitted once the session has started.
Ada – the coffee shop in the entrance of the studios – will be open on arrival, alongside Potent Fungi serving Chaga tea for enhanced relaxation before your session.

Seating
Seating is first come, first served – arrive early to choose your spot.
A ground-level zone features Togo bean bags for reclined listening, placing you closer to the sub-bass, where low frequencies are felt physically as well as heard.
Cinema seating offers an upright listening position, providing a balanced and detailed perspective across the full spatial sound field.
Sound System
Earth Echo sessions are presented on a L-Acoustics 17.1.10 spatial audio system: 17 speakers surrounding you at ear level, 10 speakers overhead, and a dedicated sub channel with four subwoofers at the front of the room. Earth Echo’s soundscapes are composed and mixed specifically for spatial environments – ecological field recordings, bioacoustic textures, and sound healing elements are placed precisely in three-dimensional space, so the forest canopy is above you, the savanna stretches around you, and the low resonance of the earth is felt beneath you.
Additional Information
What to Bring:
Comfortable clothing you can lie down and breathe freely in. A warm layer is recommended – body temperature drops during extended stillness. Blankets are provided. Eye masks are provided to deepen the sensory experience. Each spot has a personal slot for your belongings, left at your own risk.

Polygon Portal is a members-only space. Register for the Portal via our website, then book your session directly once you are a member. Capacity is limited – book early.
