Yann Tiersen

Kerber - Album Listening Session in immersive 360° spatial audio.

Yann Tiersen doesn’t repeat himself. Evolution and experimentation have been the only constants in his 30 year career.

At Polygon Portal, his 2021 album Kerber plays in full, reimagined on one of the world’s best spatial audio systems.

Seven pieces written in a studio Tiersen built inside an abandoned discotheque on Ushant – the Breton island he’s called home for over a decade. Each track takes its name from a place on the island. Starting from piano – what you hear on the record is those parts sampled, reshaped, reframed and set against the sound of the Celtic Sea just outside the door.

In the Portal, the record opens up in 360° spatial audio. Sound moves around you, above you, and through you. The piano up close, electronics drifting overhead, the room holding still – details you’ve never noticed.

You’ll sit inside the music, the way Yann heard it in his head.

Experience this album, start to finish, the way it was meant to be felt
