Pixies are one of alternative rock’s most quietly radical bands. Formed in Boston in 1986, Charles Thompson (Black Francis), Kim Deal, Joey Santiago, and David Lovering built a sound on tension and contrast. Hushed verses erupting into feral choruses, punk aggression colliding with pop melody, all of it wrapped in Thompson’s surreal, unsettling imagery.
Released in 1991, Trompe le Monde stands as the band’s final and most sonically adventurous statement before their initial breakup. Denser, heavier, and more effects-laden than anything before it, the album pushed the extraterrestrial themes of Bossanova even further into the cosmic, pairing them with some of Thompson’s rawest, most untethered performances.
Now, in a new 2026 remaster by Kevin Vanbergen, we invite you to experience the full album from start to finish, played back at the Polygon Portal. Every wall of distortion, every jarring shift in tempo, surrounds you completely.

Arrival Times / Doors
Please arrive from 18:00. You will be taken to the 1st floor where a secret Soho bar will be awaiting you. A bell will be rung 15 minutes before the show and you will be shown to your seats. The doors will be closed at 18:30. Late entry is not permitted once the show has started.

Seating
Seating is first come, first served. At checkout, you’ll choose between a cinema chair or a Togo chair. Once you’re in the venue, you can sit wherever you like within your chosen seating type.
Sound System
It is a beautiful L-Acoustic 17.1.10 soundsystem. You will have 17 powerful speakers surrounding you, 10 speakers over your head supported by more subs, and 1 sub channel with four subs at the front of the room.

The bar serves drinks and there is a water fountain in the bar to fill up your own bottles.
