Steven Wilson’s new 2026 mixes of Islands in spatial audio, 5.1 surround and new stereo mix are due to be released this September 2026. This is the first opportunity to hear the new spatial mix in a beautiful environment, courtesy of Polygon Portal.
King Crimson have never stood still. From the moment their debut In The Court Of The Crimson King landed in 1969 – charting on both sides of the Atlantic and laying the foundations of progressive rock – the band has been in a state of constant reinvention. New lineups, new languages, new ideas. Lizard. Larks’ Tongues In Aspic. Red. Discipline. Each record a different band, a different vision, a different sound.
Islands was released in 1971, at the midpoint of one of the most restless creative periods in rock history. Sitting between the dense orchestration of their early work and the ferocious improvisation that would follow, it is one of the most delicate and searching records in the Crimson catalogue – strings and woodwind alongside Mel Collins’ saxophone, Peter Sinfield’s surrealist poetry, and the quiet intensity that only this band could produce.
In 360° audio, the record opens up completely. The orchestration spreads across the room. The space between instruments becomes part of the music. Details that were always there, finally given room to breathe.
On 8th December 2021, at the completion of a Japanese tour, Robert Fripp declared that King Crimson had moved from sound to silence. This is a chance to sit inside one of their finest works, heard the way it was always meant to be felt.

Arrival Times / Doors
Please arrive 30 minutes before your show. You will be taken to the 1st floor where a secret Soho bar will be awaiting you. A bell will be rung 15 minutes before the show and you will be shown to your seats. The doors will be closed at the stated show time and the event will start 5 minutes later. Late entry is not permitted once the show has started.

There are cinema chairs and Togo chairs, it is first come first served so arrive early and sit where you want.
Sound System
It is a beautiful L-Acoustic 17.1.10 soundsystem. You will have 17 powerful speakers surrounding you, 10 speakers over your head supported by more subs, and 1 sub channel with four subs at the front of the room.

The bar serves drinks and there is a water fountain in the bar to fill up your own bottles.
