The Land Remains - Film screening with 360º spatial audio + in person Q&A
Britain is an island shaped by memory, migration, and the persistence of the past in the present.
The Land Remains is a single-channel video installation that places Britain’s renewed fascination with folklore and ritual in dialogue with the former Bibby Stockholm asylum barge, exploring how land, migration, and belonging continue to shape national identity today.
Over the course of a year, Boris filmed pre-Christian ceremonies and seasonal traditions across the country, pagan practices aligned with the Wheel of the Year, structured around solstices, equinoxes, and moments of transition.
Set against these rituals of return and renewal, the work asks how myth and landscape are used to define the idea of Britain.
The work features prominent voices from the folk community, including folk singer & song collector Sam Lee and alchemist and apothecarist Charlotte Pulver.
Join us at Polygon Portal’s for an immersive experience channeling the ancient voices of the past, with 360º spatial audio.
Allow its songs, stories, and ceremonial soundscapes to resonate above, around and through you.
